1) Horror movies can be terrifying and disturbing even without the presence of the paranormal. In fact, these films are more horrific as they tell stories of real people and situations which may occur in real life ,which makes this one more nightmarish than many of the ghost stories out there.
2) It is truly amazing how the movie manages to evoke such a feeling of suspense and awkwardness from the audience.This movie can be described as a hybrid between Rear Window and Funny Games but the sum is much more than its parts. It is creepy and suspenseful. It has wonderful twists and the chilling atmosphere makes it that much more unbearable.
